A two volume set handsomley bound in bright red cloth with small gilt detail to the front and gilt titles to the spine. the binding is clean and shows minimal wear, minor fading to the spines, small belish to the front of Alice. Internally the text block is tight with no loose pages. There is a previous owner's inscription to the front free endpaper of Alice. The pages, otherwise are clean throughout with no further inscriptions. Beautifully illustrated throughout by John Tenniel. Alice Adventure's in Wonderland, published 1925 pp. 200 + 4. Through The Looking Glass, published 1927 pp. x + 228 + 4. Overall a very good set. Would make an ideal gift.
