Hardback. Second impression. Handsomely bound in rich red leather with gilt ruled borders and floral motif to each corner. The spine is richly decorated in a gilt floral design with gilt titles and five rased bands. The leather is in very good condition with no fading or wear and the gilt is still bright. All edges of the text block are gilt and still fairly bright. Internally the text block is tight with no loose pages. Marbled endpapers with no book plates or inscriptions. There is very light foxing to the prelims, however the rest of the pages are beautifully clean throughout. Illustrated with frontispiece portrait of Rudyard Kipling. pp. viii + 236. Overall a stunning copy. Would make an ideal gift.
