Hardback, 1955 Third Edition. The pictorial dustjacket is in a clean bright condition with just a little wear to the extremities. There is a piece missing to the top right hand corner and to the base of the spine with chipping to the top. Not price clipped. Underneath lie red cloth boards which show a little discolouration along the top edge, despite this, the cloth is still quite bright and shows very little wear. The top edge of the text block is coloured red and has dulled a little. The text block is tight with no loose pages. There is a previous owner's ink stamp to the front free endpaper, while there is a little foxing along the top edge of the prelims otherwise, a good clean copy. Illustrated with a full page colour frontispiece. pp. 255. Overall a good copy.
