Hardback. Translated by Robert Fagles with an introduction and notes by Bernard Knox. Handsomely bound in quarter tan leather with pictorial cloth boards in very good condition. There is no wear or fading to the cloth or leather. Housed in a black slipcase which is clean and shows minimal wear. The top edge of the text block is coloured red and is still fairly bright while the fore-edge remains free of any marks. Endpapers featuring Mainland Greece and the pages are beautifully clean, illustrated by Grahame Baker. pp. lxxxv + 596. Overall a very good copy. Would make a perfect gift.
