Handsomely bound in rich burgundy quarter leather with pictorial cloth sides and housed in a burgundy slipcase. Both in very good condition with no wear or fading. The top edge of the text block is coloured deep red and is still quite bright. The pages within appear unread with no marks or inscriptions. Maps to the endpapers feature The Peloponnese in the fifth century BC. pp. xix + 543. Overall a very good copy. Would make an ideal gift.
