Hardback. Chosen and introduced by James Michie. Illustrated with wood engravings by various artists selected by Simon Brett. Handsomely bound in quarter black leather with cloth sides blocked with a design by Simon Brett. Housed in a black slip case. In very good condition with the cloth clean and bright and no wear or fading to the leather. The slipcase is a little faded. The top edge of the text block is coloured yeloow and is still fairly bright. The pages within appear unread with no marks or inscriptions. pp. xxxv + 733. Overall a very good copy.
