Hard Back. John Julius Norwich's complete history of the Eastern Roman Empire from 286 ad until of Constantinople in 1453. First published in 1988 by Viking and reprinted by Penguin in 1990. This edition follows the 1990 edition with minor emendations. All three volumes beautifully bound in cloth with ornate illustration to the front and spine. Housed in a black slipcase. Both in very good condition with no wear or fading, minor scuff mark to the slipcase, nothing serious. Pages appear unread with no marks or inscriptions and ilustrated throughout with maps and full page colour plates. Overall a very good set. Would make an ideal gift.
