Hardback. First Edition. Andrew Lang's famous collection of fairy stories beautifully bound in Olive green cloth with gorgeous fairy detail in gilt to the front, gilt titles and vignette to the spine. The cloth shows a little discolouration with bumping to the corners and light wear to the top and base of the spine. However, the cloth is generally in good condition with the gilt to the front still bright. All edges of the text block gilt. Pictorial endpapers with cracking to the rear gutter making the text block a little loose. Illustrated with full page colour frontispiece, with tissue guard and several black and white line drawings throughout by H.J. Ford. The pages are a little toned with the occasionl thumb mark and spot of foxing otherwise clean and in good condition. pp. xv + 336. Overall a beautiful First Edition copy.
