Hardback Second Edition. Both volumes are handsomely bound in half deep blue leather with red marble paper covered boards. Ornate gilt tooling and two red titles bands lay between five raised bands. The leather is in good condtion despite a little loss to the rear and fading to the spine while the boards show minor surface wear. All edges of the text block and endpapers are marbled in red matching the outer boards. Previous owner's small book plate to the front paste-downs to both volumes. The pages are lighly toned although very clean throughout with a little foxing to the prelims and towards the rear. Overall a very good set.
