Hardback. A two volume Folio box set comprising of The Newgate Calendar and The New Newgate Calendar. Edited and selected by Sir Norman Birkett, Lord Birkett. Both volumes are uniformly bound in quarter black cloth with decorative brown paper covered boards. Both volumes are in very good condition with no wear or fading, the gilt titles to the spines still bright. The pages within appear unread with no marks or inscriptions. Housed in a brown slipcase in good condition. Overall a very good set.
