Hardback. All three volumes are uniformly bound in burgundy leather with double gilt ruled borders to the front and rear boards. Ornate gilt tooling and two green title bands lay between five raised bands to the spine. The leather is in good condition despite minor surface wear while the spine has faded with slight off-setting to the boards. All edges of the text block and endpapers are marbled with no bookplates or inscriptions showing. There is foxing to the prelims and towards the rear although the pages are generally clean. Illustrated with a vignette to the title page. A Stunning Set of the British Admirals.
