Hardback, 1905 Popular Edition. Beautifully bound with gilt floral detail and intricate title embellishment to the front, gilt titles and detail to the spine. In very good condition with just a little bumping to the corners and light fading to the spine. The top edge is gilt although quite dulled with the fore-edge untrimmed. The binding is still fairly tight despite a little cracking to the internal gutter. There is foxing throughout which at times is quite heavy, although the text is still legible, illustrated with fifty two plates. pp. x + 236.
