The dust jacket with a pictorial front cover does show some wear with pieces missing to the top and base of the spine. Not price clipped. Underneath lie blue cloth boards which show some fading. Slight smell when opened. The pages within are clean with illustrations by Stead. pp. 227. Overall a good reading copy. This is the only Captain Johns to feature Biggles, Gimlet, and Worrals although not all three appear in the same story.
