Bound in the publisher's original dust jacket with a striking design by Mendoza to the front. The dustjacket is worn with large closed tear to the front and notation marks to the rear. Not price clipped. Underneath lie red cloth boards with printed pictorial to the front and titles to the spine. The cloth is largley clean and shows minimal wear, with just light shelf wear to the top and base of the spine and minor bumping to the base of the rear board. Internally the text block is tight although pages 7 to 10 are loose. Previous owner's inscription to the front paste down, the rest of the pages are clean throughout. Illustrated with a full page colour frontispiece and several in monochrome. pp. 157. Overall a lovely copy of a scarce title in the Biggles series.
