Hardback. First Edition. Chosen from the Fairy Books edited by Andrew Lang and published posthumously in 1926. A Scarce copy, especially as it includes the dust jacket. The dust jacket with a pretty pictorial paper on-lay to the front shows a little discolouration with a piece missing to the base of the spine and chipping to the top. Not price clipped. Underneath lie beautifully illustrated green cloth boards, which, despite a little fading to the top and base of the spine, are in a good clean condition and show very little wear. The pictorial endpapers are a little toned with a previous owner's neat pencil inscription to the front free endpaper. The rest of the pages are very clean with no further inscriptions and just the smallest amount of foxing. Illustrated with four stunning tipped-in plates, including frontispiece and several line drawings throughout. One of the plates is a little creased although intact. pp. x + 242. Overall a beautiful copy.
