Hardback. First Edition. A beautiful collection of stories edited by Andrew Lang. Bound in rich blue cloth with ornate gilt decoration to the front and gilt titles and vignette to the spine. In very good condition, despite minor bumping to the base of the front board and corners, the cloth is still bright and clean. All edges are gilt and remain free of any marks or discolouration. There is a slight lean to the spine with light shelf wear to the top and base and very light fading. Previous owner's faded inscription to the front paste down, otherwise the pages are very clean throughout. Illustrated with a stunning colour frontispiece and a further seven stunning colour plates throughout, and many monochrome line drawings within the text. pp. xix + 361 + 6. Overall a beautiful book.
