Hardback. A classic re-telling of some of Hans Christian Andersen's most famous tales. Beautifully bound in cloth with gilt titles and a nice bright clean pictorial to the front. There is a little fading to the spine with a little discolouration and light lifting of the cloth along to the rear board. Internally the binding is tight despite a slightly loose frontispiece. Beautifully illustrated endpapers with slight discolouration to the rear. Previous owner's neat inscription dated 1907 to the verso of the frontispece. The pages are toned although clean. Illustrated with eight stunning colour plates. pp. 415. Overall a beautiful copy.
