Hardback. New Edition with illustrations. Bound in a rich green cloth with small gilt decoration within gilt ruled borders to the front, gilt titles and decoration to the spine. The binding is in good condtion despite a little wear to the corners and discolouration to the rear. There is a lean as well as fading and shelf wear to the spine. All edges are gilt. The binding is quite tight, particulary to the rear, although there are a few loose pages, pages 259 to 270. Previous owner's inscription to the verso of the frontispiece dated 1883. the pages, otherwise are quite clean. pp. ii + 354 + 10. Overall a lovely copy.
