Hardback. A beautiful copy of this Jane Austen classic with the illustrations of Hugh Thomson. With an introduction by Austin Dobson. Bound in rich red cloth with ornate gilt floral decoration to the front and spine. The gilt to the front is still bright and clean while there is fading to the spine with wear to the top and base. Minor bumping to the corners. All edges are bright gilt. Decorative peacock illustrated endpapers. the pages are lightly toned although free of any inscriptions or foxing. The frontispiece is complete with the tissue guard. pp. xviii + 437. A lovely copy.
