Hardback. Bautifully bound in rich green cloth with ornate gilt decoration to the front and spine. In overall good condition with the gilt to the front still bright and clean, light surface wear to the rear. There is a light lean and fading to the spine. All of the edges are gilt and still quite bright. Internally the text block is tight with no loose pages. Yellow peacock endpapers with small previous book sellers label but no inscriptions or book plates. The pages are very clean with just a little foxing to the prelims and towards the rear. Beautifully illustrated frontispiece, tissue guard toned, with several more throughout. pp. xvi + 344. Overall a lovely copy.
