Hardback. With an introduction by Charles Whibley and the beautiful illustrations of Henry M. Brock. Bound in the publisher's original blue cloth with ornate gilt floral decoration to the front and spine. In overall good condition with the front board clean and bright, light surface wear to the rear. The spine has faded and the gilt has dulled, light edge wear. All edges are gilt and still quite bright. Yellow peacock endpapers with no inscriptions or book plates. There is a small neat signature to one of the prelims. Toning to the title and tissue guard with the occasional dark spot to the margins of the text. The pages, otherwise are very clean. pp. xviii + 523. Overall a lovely copy.
