Beautifully bound in rich green cloth with ornate gilt detail to the front featuring a wily fox chasing some chickens intertwined by some briar. The binding is in good condition with the front still bright and clean. There is slight bumping to the corners and light surface wear to the rear. The spine has slightly faded and has a light lean. All edges are bright gilt. Internally the text block is tight with no loose pages. While there is foxing ! throughout, the pages are generally very clean. Beautifully illustrated by W. Frank Calderon. pp. xxxvii + 260 + 4. Overall a beautiful copy.
