Hardback. The Pears Centenary Edition. The stories within include A Christmas Carol, The Chimes, The Haunted Man, The Battle of Life. With a short introduction to each by Clement Shorter. Beautifully bound in deep red cloth with a pictorial paper onlay and gilt titles to the front. The binding is in good condition despite a little bumping to the corners. However, there is some fading to the spine and rear board. The front and rear endpapers are advertisements for Pears. The title page is a little toned although the rest of the pages are clean throughout, illustrated by Charles Green. pp. 139. Overall a beautiful copy.
