Hardback. The Series Of English Idylls. Beautifully bound in pale green cloth with ornate gilt floral detail to the front and spine. The binding is in a very good clean condition and shows just a little bumping to the corners. The spine has a little shelf wear to the top and base. Top edge gilt and slighlty dulled while the fore edge remains untrimmed. Decorative endpapers with a neat inscription dated 1907 to the verso of the front free endpaper. Page 103 to 106 loose. There is the very occasional spot of foxing, including the tissue guard of the frontispiece, otherwise a very good clean copy. Beautifully illustrated with several colour plates by Charles E. Brock. pp. xv + 255. Overall a beautiful copy of this much loved classic.
