Hardback. Possibly first edition. Quarter bound in brown cloth with pretty pictorial paper covered boards. The boards are a little worn with some loss to the extremities. Internally the text block is weak with cracking to the gutters. Small feint signature to the front free endpaper. There are few thumb marks to the margins of the text and a little foxing to the prelims. Beautifully illustrated througout by Walter Crane. The pages are generally clean and the text legible, the coloured illustrations show no loss of colour or wear. pp. 56. A beautiful copy.
