Handsomely bound in rich brown padded suede with initial detail to the front. The binding is in good condition despite a closed tear along the fore-edge of the front board and light fading to the spine. All edges are gilt and still bright. Brown marbled end-papers with a neatly cut corner piece missing. Neat inscription to the first prelim. Light foxing to the prelims and towards the rear, the rest of the pages are very clean. pp. xxiv + 912. Overall a lovely copy.
