Hardback. All eight volumes are uniformly bound in burgundy cloth with gilt titles to the spines. All in good condition despite a little surface wear to the occasional volume. Light fading and a slight lean to the spines with shelf wear to the top and base. Most of the text blocks are tight although volume one is lightly cracked to the gutter and the two volumes of The Small House at Allington are loose with the front board and spine detached. Rich brown endpapers with no book plates or inscriptions. Previous owner's pencil signature to the top of the half title page to volume one. There is the very occasional spot of foxing otherwise the pages are very clean throughout. Overall a handsome set in good condition. Ideal for any fan of Anthony Trollope.
