Highly detailed gilt embelishment to the rebacked spine, six panels divided by banding, the title panel clear, bright. All edge gilt to the text block, folded morocco edge allows fruther gilt work border to pasted down endpapers. The egraved frontispiece depicts the Battle Of Sobraon in loving detail, and opposite an illustrated title page. Two vintage book club stamps to the second title page otherwise pages are clean. Book Club label remains affixed to the front board, rubbing to the extremities. Tight binding. Very good overall, attractive binding. pp.viii+640.
