Hardback. Edward Gibbon's most important work handsomely bound in full tan leather and presented in seven volumes. Ornate gilt decoration and leather title bands, between five raised bands to the spine. In good condition despite some rubbing and wear. All edges and endpapers marbled. Ex-libris label to the front paste down on all volumes. The text block is tight with no loose pages. There is a little foxing and toning to the prelims and towards the rear. However, the pages are very clean throughout. Overall a very good set. Ideal adornment for any bookshelf.
