Classic illustrated Water Babies bound in light blue cloth, protected by clear wrapper. An exceptional beautiful pictorial of stunning gilt fish scales offset by royal blue colouring to the body of the fish and winnowing seaweed, as well as the added realism of bubbles. Spine matches the acquatic theme with a gilt crustacean and water baby, as well as endpapers with a green wave. Curious, neat inscription to the front endpaper dated 1920. Illustrations of two different kinds by A E Jackson, firstly single monocolour designs of fish, shells, and babies, also mounted colour plates. Text block trimmed, faintly ragged.
