Sixteenth revised edition. Bound in the publisher's original red cloth with gilt titles to the front and spine. The front and rear boards are in good condition, the spine has faded wth closed tears along the outer hinges. Internally the text block is still fairly tight despite the front free endpaper and title page appearing a little loose. There is the occasional blue ink stamp throughout, including to the verso of several maps, and a previous owner's pencil signature to the verso of the front free endpaper. Several of the maps are loose. The rest of the pages are lightly toned although clean. pp. 439. Overall a fair copy.
