Third edition. Bound in the publisher's original red cloth with gilt titles to the front and spine. The binding does show some discolouration with closed tears to the top and base of the spine. Pencil notation to the front free endpaper with pieces missing and pencil signature to the half title page. The last two pages are also loose with pencil inscription to one. There is some staining, possibly caused by damp to some of the pages. The pages, however are generally clean. pp. xxxvi + 588. Overall a fair copy.
