Hardback. The French Revolution; A History In Three Parts; I. The Bastille; II. The Constitution; III. The Guillotine. A handsomely bound presentation set beautifully bound in full tan leather. Double gilt ruled edge to the boards with gilt coat of arms to the front. Two title bands and ornate gilt decoration lie between five raised bands to the spines. In overall good condition with just a little rubbing and wear, especially to the spines. Slight wear to the top of the spine to volume two. All edges and endpapers are marbled with a bookplate to the front paste down on volume one. The pages are very clean throughout despite the occasional spot of foxing. Volume I, pp. viii + 342. Volume II, pp. viii + 412. Overall a very good set.
