A particularly beautiful copy of The Water Babies bound in cloth with foliage swirl pattern to the front. Title embossed in gilt on special panel repeated on the spine. All edges of the text block gilded, a little faded. Neat inscription dated 1902 possibly by English artist Gertrude Spencer Stanhope. Inscriptions are beautiful. Foxing to the endpapers. pp.330. Good++. Would make an ideal gift.
