Hardback. Methuen's books for Children. An ex-library copy with the usual stamps and marks. The pictorial dust jacket shows some fading to the spine although generally in good condtion. Not price clipped. Underneath lie black cloth boards with tape residue along the top and base of both the front and rear boards. Corners bumped. Library stamp to the front free end-paper, verso of the half title and title page with a label to the rear endpapers. The rest of the pages are clean and show no further stamps or marks. Enhanced by the illustrations of Denys Watkins-Pitchford. pp. 138. Overall a good reading copy.
