Hardback. Edition De Luxe of only 500 copies, this set is number 460. A stunning two volume set of Charles Lever's Military Novels. Edited by Harry Lorrequer. Beautifully bound in burgundy half leather with burgundy marble paper sides. Oranate gilt tooling and two titles bands lie between five raised bands to the spines. In superb condition with just slight fading to the marble boards. All edges and endpapers burgundy marble with no bookplates or inscriptions. Beautifully illustrated by "Phizz" with a full page monchrome frontispiece with tissue guard and vignette to the title page. There are several more plates and line drawings within the text. There is a small hole to the half title page of volume II, nothing serious. The pages to both volumes are remarkably clean with no foxing or marks. Jack Hinton, pp. xii + 299. Charles O'Malley, pp. vi + 484. Overall a very well cared for and stunning set.
