Hardback. Presentation copy bound in full burgundy leather. Gilt coat of arms to the front from Leeds Parish Church Middle Class School within a gilt decorative border. Ornate gilt decoration and titles to the spine. The leather is in good condition although the spine has faded a little with minor surface wear to the rear. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers with partly removed presentation label to the front paste down. Neat inscription to the verso of the front free endpaper. The pages are clean despite the occasional spot of foxing. Illustrated with frontispiece, vignette to the title page and several monochrome line drawings throughout, folding map to the rear. pp. xix + 492. An interesting copy.
