Hardback. An early edition of this classic children's tale from Beatrix Potter, circa 1910. Complete with a glassine wrapper which may be the original although not printed. Grey paper boards with white printed titles and pictorial paper on-lay to the front. The boards are in good condition although this copy lacks the spine. The glassine wrapper is worn. The text block is still fairly tight although the frontispiece is partly detached. Pictorial endpapers with no inscriptions or marks. The rest of the pages are clean despite the occasional thumb mark. Illustrated with 27 colour plates by Beatrix Potter. pp. 85.
