Hardback. George Moir Bussey's famous work on the History of Napoleon with illustrations by Horace Vernet. Volume Two only. Bound in the publisher's original brown cloth with embossed detail to the sides and gilt titles and vignette to the spine. The cloth is a little worn to the extremities with light fading to the rear. The front board is a little loose with a few loose pages within. Previous owner's inscription to the front free endpaper and several pencil notations throughout, as well as the occasional thumb mark and spot of foxing. pp. vii + 634. Overall a good reading copy and general source of information. A scarce copy.
