Hardback. A beautiful book with the illustrations of Arthur Rackham. Adapted from the German by W.L. Courtney. Handsomely bound in deep blue with gilt titles and pictorial to the front and spine. The binding is bright and clean and shows just a little bumping along the top edge, and light fading to the spine. Beautiful pictorial endpapers with a small neat inscription to the front free endpaper. Foxing to the endpapers, prelims and towards the rear. Slight notation to the lict of illustrations. The rest of the pages are very clean, beautifully illustrated with 15 tipped in colour plates, each with its captioned tissue guards. With monochrome line drawings to the start and end of each chapter. pp. 136. Overall a lovely, an ideal gift for any Arthur Rackham fan.
